The 2014 Kentucky Oral History Commission grant applications are posted! Deadline for applications is March 1, 2014!
Funding opportunities include travel, stipends and supplies for creating new oral history interviews through an oral history project grant, digital preservation fees for fragile oral history collections in Kentucky repositories and a newly expanded grant category for transcription or indexing of oral history itnerviews. Now you can apply for financial assistance to not only transcribe oral history interviews in Kentucky repositories, but can apply for funding to assist with the cost to index oral history interviews with an eye towards greater facilitated online access to collections. Indexing grants are based on planned participation in an indexing access system, such as the open source OHMS system**.
